MACWORLD Yup...I'm going. And I will be working for the same company I have been all year...CalDigit. And they will have new and exciting products they will be announcing. Pretty cool ones. I'll talk more about them after the show, or during the show AFTER the announcement. So I'll be at the booth. Not in my NEON ORANGE shirt they made me wear last year. Ugh. Nope...Navy Blue. Whew. Much better. And I'll be giving two demos while working the booth. The P2 workflow with FCP 6 and a field package...and utilizing an I/O HD in a remote workflow. Pretty exciting...considering that I just got the I/O HD on Thursday to test. Before that, the most I had done with it is pick it up at IBC to see how much it weighed. So, if you want to see me, I'll be there all week...Jan 14-18. And I'll also be at the FCPUG Super Meet on Wednesday. I'll be wearing a MEDIA OFFLINE t-shirt (black, Avid MEDIA OFFLINE font).
I love the smell of Apple in the morning
Thanks Shane, looking forward to any news you can pass along.
Speaking of which, I had planned a whole pile of posts of things that I've found in advance of the show, and even some things happening during the show. Then I found out we''re getting a foot of snow tomorrow, so I'm hustling to do 2 days of work this afternoon.
Here's one link, supposedly a leaked outline from Stevie's keynote. The source is WIKIPEDIA of all places. It's already gone from there, but a forward-thinking blogger preserved it for your viewing pleasure.
It's only marked as Draft 5, and goodness knows there's a lot more work ahead. In any case, among the reasons it strikes me as bogus is that the "one more thing" is so weak. That said, Apple could be following the well-established practice of leaking something vaguely plausible as misdirection, saving the magic for the final release.
And like I said, even if it was true, it's nowhere near finished. I wouldn't even bet a round of drinks on this outline.
It's still fun.
Thanks for keeping us filled in, Shane!

Drink the Kool Aid
Especially the Grape flavor! Especially if you're going to the keynote presentation. I understand Steve floats out over the crowd and you hear Pink Floyd The Wall if you drink at least two glasses of it before you go in.
Seriously though, have a great time and I look forward to hearing your reports.
