I ve been fascinated by the photorealistic quality of images posted in the Luxology Modo Gallery. I ve been trying to learn from their workflow to see if I can do the same in Cinema 4D, especially from some of the free tutorials. I was struck by the level of detail in the shoe model posted there. Inspired by those images, I rolled up my socks and got to work! Trying to emulate the same in cinema4d. So folks here is my attempt. I think it kind of worked out ok. What do you think? let me know. As always I would love to exchange notes with other c4d enthusiasts out there.
very cool
having tried both Cinema4D and Modo I think this is quite the work of art.
The shoe does appear to be a little asymetric but that could be my monitor or it is what your model looks like therefore making it accurate.
Very Good !!! Bully for you !!!
This piece is not unlike Bert Monroy's photo-real Photoshop art.
BTW. have you tried a copy of Modo lately? Is it still a resource hog I remember on the PC??? ,,, gonna have to check it out.
Anyhow, what say you about Maya??.
It's my personal opinion that Maya and Autodesk 3D Max are the best and I place Cinema4D in second place.
Just my opinion is all,,, it's not what you use,,, it's how well you use it. Right ?? You do well ...
Cheers
joe
thanks!
Hi Joe
thanks for the compliments. I love C4D for its ease of use and speed. I just wanted to see if I could do stuff that Modo can do in C4D. most of the time its just marketing hype!
Cheers
