See, I'm so glad I didn't rush out for the iPhone. Now I can keep my little Razr phone that I like and get the iPod for everything else. Very cool!

Whoops, spoke too soon.  The Store is not back online, but it says the phones "Start at $299" wiht an 8GB and 16GB model.  I think I'll just wait until the prices come down as the original iPods are still a lot cheaper for music.

I still have my Sprint Card for my laptop so I still don't need a $400 sub computer just yet.

BUT, isn't an 8 gig or 16 gig model a HUGE step backwards for an iPod?  What's up with that?
iPods have 30 gig and 80 gig drives in them...  8 gigs isn't very much...

slimmer size, less storage

Not enough room in there for 30 or 60GB.  Just look at the Panasonic P2 cards.  Those max out at 16GB right now though 32GB is around the corner.  Hopefully these iPods (and phones) will jump to 32GB when that happens.
