...and I hate cleaning up afterwards. Just thinking about the massive clean-up effort after this Sony Bravia Commercial makes me tired.
But all that being said, when you see an amazingly executed commercial, do you ever wonder how they did it? Take a look at this behind the scenes short and you'll discover how.
VERY cool commercial!
The behind the scenes is one of the most informative pieces I've ever seen. It should be shown in every graphics, compositing and NLE class. I can't even imagine how many questions this would create in the After Effects forum about which plug-ins to use to get this effect. As a former plug-in developer, I understand the reasons for asking a question like that....but sometimes the best way to show a paint-bomb is to make a paint-bomb.
And yeah, I hate painting too. I used to be pretty good at it -- it was one of my longest suits in a short career as a contractor. But I've decided that one of the benefits of being at this stage of my life is being able to pay people to paint for me. I only have to do it once, and the money is NOTHING compared to the time and effort it would have cost me. I could also write a looooong article about the difference in quality. Amazing.
Outstanding commercial! Thanks for passing it along....
