In Passing.

COW Blogs : gary adcock's Blog : In Passing.
A number of people have contacted me asking about Steve Jobs, sadly I was only ever in his presence one time and in all honesty he was not interested, but I have always thought it fitting as I was talking to John Sculley at the time and it was immediately after he came back to Apple in '97.

It did not change my view of the company, I have been a Mac user from the very beginning, I bought the very first one, having gotten a chance to see one up close in my Photostudio as I was shooting it while doing Advertising for a local computer store, so I guess that makes me an apple fanboy, the cult of mac as it is called.

I have had more Apple computers than I care to count, from the beginning I have owned almost every model of laptop and all but the current Imac. I go thru phones like water (not because of water) so I have owned every model of iPhone and both iPads, the benefit is that my wife has some of the best "hand-me-downs" possible.

I Choose to use a Mac because they make my life easier, more creative, less constrained.

That was what Steve was talking about in this speach about "Think Different" http://youtu.be/Rco9xujjAak and I like most of the rest of you I would not be here if it were not for his visions regarding computing and communicating.

Very few of us would know each other or our shared experiences here if Steve had not decided that he needed to change the Music and Video industries as much as he shook up the computer industry.

Yes, true visionaries are always missed and we just lost the one for our generation, as no one has changed our future more.
