Lindeboom Beer!

OK, I found it. Yup, I found Lindeboom Beer in Amsterdam. I asked for it at nearly every restaurant I went to and no one had it. Heineken could be found EVERYWHERE. And one of my new favorites, BAVARIA, was in a few places, but Lindeboom beer was a rarity.

Was this due to the fact that it is a really good and rare beer? Maybe. I am not a beer connesieur, but when I DID find it, and buy one...it was pretty good!

Where did I find it? At a bar just a couple blocks from the Red Light District...and within sight of Central Station and the main street that leads to DAM Square. They had all sorts of signs indicating that they did, in fact, serve Lindeboom beer.

I apologize for not getting pictures, my camera battery died and I didn't pack the charger. All I had was my GL1 video camera, so I got these shots:

As I said over at YouTube: These guys make polyester proud to be made into cloth. They make hats proud to be worn. They make women happy to be women and men, jealous that they can't be this cool. In fact, they are so cool that ice forms when they play. John Travolta stole his best moves from them; he'd quickly admit that.

Now admit it, you and Don were looking online for a pair of pants like they wear -- right?

......why I'm not much of a beer drinker. I don't want to be forced into wearing one of those hats. If you turned your head while going through a doorway you'd break your neck! :)

Reading this, Cowdog's ears would flap with pride if he knew this. (So I'm not telling him. We'd never hear the end of it. The jokes would be non-stop.)

The brewery scenes were filmed in the Neer, Holland brewing vats of the Lindeboom Brewery.

I swear that the horn section is either from Huey Lewis & The News or from the band, Chicago. And whoever does their costumes, Chez Bovine!
