My Creative COW

COW Blogs : Abraham's Blog : My Creative COW
I hope everyone gets a chance to browse around the new profiles section of the site. It's kinda fun finally putting all the pieces of Creative COW into a nice package and personally wrapping it for each user.

Enjoy!

Re: My Creative COW

Abraham.. as the declared guru of great suggestions i'd appreciate thought. I'm trying to lock the position of a layer in dreamweaver and i find no suggestions in their help. I'm just putting in a small png graphic and i admit i am NOT a web genius. Any suggestions where to find the hidden answer?

Thanks so very much!

The position of a layer can be relative to a few different things depending on its position property.

static - Elements renders in order, as they appear in the document flow. This is default.

absolute - The element is positioned relative to its first positioned (not static) ancestor element

fixed - The element is positioned relative to the browser window

relative - The element is positioned relative to its normal position, so "left:20" adds 20 pixels to the element's LEFT position

inherit - The value of the position property is inherited from the parent element

Locking in the position of layer depends on what you are locking it to and the method of locking you are using. Google HTML Layer Positioning, there's a few tutorials there that could help.
